Stephen A. Codekas Poems

Is Love, Love when terrified the
Lover gets?
The thought of commitment swirling
And lacing like so much smoke?
...

And I look at the Hare
Through the cold, dark Mirror.
He gestures to me,
And I want to be free
...

Slipping and falling,
Falling and slipping,
Simply fading into Eternity
Like the dreamer into his dream.
...

And now her body is at rest,
Eternal sleep her reward,
Battle won against the Tempest,
A brief respite from those adored.
...

A blanket of snow
Envelops my Heart.
It awakens for the golden May
Which only you can bring.
...

I am Dante; you, my Virgil.
You lead me not to Perdition,
But Paradise.
A Muse for the Artist;
...

A thousand years can come and go
In a single flash of light.
But time itself will slow,
As I gaze upon your sight.
...

How can I think in solitude
When the silence stifles thought?
How can I think in solitude
When all I hear is
...

Faith, Hope, and Love
Will rain down from above,
...

Friends can really help you out
When you are all alone
...

When a true friend appeares,

A song will be sung
...

Walking along the dark wood
My soul and I, stood still
...

What is it about Love?
Young, Old, rekindled,
All kinds of Love?
...

Forgive me Lord,
For I cannot forgive myself.
Save me Lord,
For I cannot save myself.
...

The Best Poem Of Stephen A. Codekas

Love Is Scary

Is Love, Love when terrified the
Lover gets?
The thought of commitment swirling
And lacing like so much smoke?
Sweet incense rising slowly and slowly rising,
But not knowing why.
Does it too get frightened?
