A Single Sigh Poem by Juan Olivarez

A Single Sigh

A single sigh profound and deep,
I held to my heart, and there did keep.
One single sigh from your heart of gold,
You gave to me to have and to hold.

And it still resides, deep down inside,
Where in my heart it does abide.
That one single sigh from your precious soul,
Lives on today and our story has told.

Your poem is so sad and yet so loving it almost brings tears to my eyes. I wish my writing could be this emotional. So far all I'm any good at is grammar. But I really think that words like this should always be shared so thanks for giving the world a chance to read them.
