A Smokers Lies Poem by Conley Murray

A Smokers Lies

I smoked for more than fifty six years, and I must say,
I told lies about my smoking just about everyday.

You ask a smoker how many cigarettes they smoke per day,
one and a half packs most of them will say.

Regardless of what they say,
the real truth is they most likely smoke two or three packs everyday.

Back before they had all the chemical sprays,
smoking was not too much of a health risk in the old days.

Now with all the tobacco chemical sprays,
lung cancer is a major risk today.

Most smokers will say they smoke so they won't get bored,
but they don't realize smoking is a greater health risk,
than ever before.

It takes a lot of will power to stop smoking today,
but if they would ask God to help them, He would take all that
cigarette craving away.
