A Snugglement Of Birds - Nonsense Poetry Poem by Clive Culverhouse

A Snugglement Of Birds - Nonsense Poetry

a sparrow with a towel
dried the feathers of an owl
while a wren with a felt-tipped pen
coloured in a sleeping hen
then a magpie poked the eye
of a buzzard and made him cry
when a rook with an adventure book
started reading to an eager duck
and a siskin sat next to a finch
as a hungry eagle raided the fridge

all were trying their very best
to fit inside the tiny nest
