A Son Poem by Ziad AlMatt

A Son

The day he was born was the day I waited for all along
I could not believe what I saw before my eyes
A son one that I raise and tell him no lies
He was a gift from god that crossed the heaven
I could not wait see him grow so I could teach to play a song
One that he could sing his son
'What should call him' asked my dad
And I happily replied with 'Kevin'
