A Song Called We Cant Poem by Kimara Young

A Song Called We Cant

We never get to do this anymore.
As we're pressed together, up against the door.
When do we get the chance to be alone?
Anytime you come around, someone's always home.

We try to make the best of any chance.
Skipping past the promises of love, trust and romance.
This is what the world has brought us too.
And I blame everything but you.

Sneeking looks when we're with our friends.
Boy i'm hooked, dont want this to end.
All the darkness cant concile.
How you make my body feel.

We have to be together.
For now, if not forever.
This wouldnt work any other way.
Our bodys are like magnets.
And we are both attracted.
No matter how we try to pull away.
We cant.

How many lies do we have to tell?
Just to see each other, its a penny in a well.
Wishing for the chance to meet tonight.
Wouldnt want to jinx wishing for the rest of our lives.

Holding hands under tables.
We only risk what we're able to.
To fight it would be disasterous.
And we never want to end us.

We have to be together.
For now, if not forever.
This wouldnt work any other way.
Our bodys are like magnets.
And we are both attracted.
No matter how we try to pull away.
We cant.

Everybodys noticing.
What we mean to each
other.
But they cant break this apart.
Cause we are deeply connected.
From our finger tips to our hearts.

We have to be together.
For now, if not forever.
This wouldnt work any other way.
Our bodys are like magnets.
And we are both attracted.
No matter how we try to pull away.
We cant. (x2)
