A Song For My Redeemer Poem by Yehoshua Shim'onai

A Song For My Redeemer

Rating: 5.0

Your love redeemed me from my wickedness,
Your grace ransomed me from the pow'r of death;
Open my mouth to sing all Your praises
For You've cast my sins to the oceans' depths!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was written in a Sunday early morning on a prayer mountain after two nights of prayer and fasting, during which I prayed prayers of confession and repentance, begging for God's grace to set me free from all my sinful ways. Loosely based on Hosea 2: 23,14: 1-4; Micah 7: 18-20; Isaiah 17: 15-19; and Jeremiah 31: 18-20.
