A Song For You Poem by Imran Khan Amilasan

A Song For You

Do you rememeber the night we're on my car,
the rain is falling hard
like the burdens you have in you.

Do you remember the song I played when you said you were lost and
I said, 'The most important things are the hardest to say.'
And you said, 'Where did you get that? ', ' In a movie I can't remember what.' I said.

I remember the moment where you just pop in my head and
I'll go waste my imagination with you and
our conversation about dying angels.

I remember the day when you pulled the lace of my jacket and we kissed.
You said, 'You make me feel less cynical.'
I said, 'You're sweeping me off my feet, you make me feel cynical.'
I remember it all like a song, All too well.
