A Special Prayer - Poem by Stacy P. Law

I said a prayer for you last night
I prayed to my father above
I asked Him to protect and strenghthen you
by showering you with His love

I asked Him to hold your hand
for I knew I couldn't be there
"Stay by her side, comfort her, Lord
Please show her that we do care!"

Things don't always happen as we plan
it's not always easy to understand
It's always important to keep the faith
you sometimes feel defeated, do worry, just pray

All of God's children are certainly blessed
stumbling blocks we encounter are parts of His test
No matter how long and lonely the road
Prayer is the instrument that calms the soul
