A Spell Binds Me Poem by Elia Michael

A Spell Binds Me

I feel as if a spell is binding me.
I find it hard to move my weary limbs.
A cord secures me, I cannot break free.
I try in vain, my head aches my head swims.
They say the evil eye does not exist,
And logic informs my mind this is so,
But bad unfortunate events insist
On taking place which fill my heart with woe.
If I believed then I would pray in earnest.
If I believed I would pray for release,
Then hymns of praise I'd sing to the Highest
To be relieved, soothed with a little peace.

A spell has bound me and holds me tight,
But I will fight this spell with all my might.
