A Sunshine Smile Poem by Elia Michael

A Sunshine Smile

The sun was in your eyes and smile
When you glanced in my direction.
I travelled with you for a while,
I felt your love and affection.

And it was there in your greeting.
I heard it in your friendly voice,
As if you enjoyed our meeting,
As if you’d arranged it by choice.

Your smile adorned your whole being.
It journeyed the little distance
To my being, and I was seeing
Us in sunny co-existence.

The sun is in your smile and eyes.
It welcomes and I feel at ease.
It brightens dark and stormy skies
And calms the inner seething seas.

Really like this poem. Described beautifully how seeing a loved one can brighten one's day and life whenever you're with that person. Nice job!
