For some reason I was thinking of another stairway in a broader sense. Like maybe to Heaven or another galaxy....however when I stopped and pondered on this I see the sense it makes. A stairway we see right outside our window that leads to a place other than where we are is a stairway to another world. A world we are not a part of. So kudos on this poem! I like!
