A State Perpetuated Poem by Julio 2 Amarante

A State Perpetuated

Rating: 5.0

If wishes were pennies, many would ride,
Not only beggars, oh, so many more,
Those kneeling at Churches and Temples,
Those arguing against inevitabilities,

If that proverb were promoted by a handler
The world would be lit, light by a candler
If wishes were so, the dusk awaited for the dawn.

It seems that we deal with an old prejudice,
Out of the roll of any dice, a state perpetuated
Stone as granite, result fixed as marble, no possible advice
