A Stranger Poem by Dennis Walker

A Stranger

Why do people tell strangers things?
Things that they would not tell their friends
Opening up and letting it flow
It comes gushing out with all the raw emotion

Strangers listen every day to this torrent
Sitting in amazement
How open people can be
All you have to do is listen

To nod showing interest
It is like peeling an onion
The lairs slip away
And like an onion can make you cry

No need to lie to a stranger
You will never see them again
Open up and let it flow
It will make you feel better
