A Subconscience's Respite Poem by thaddeus dugan

A Subconscience's Respite

I have the phenomena of dreams
within every heart I've dwelled it seems
Tracing each path to the day
Where their had been love
and she'd nothing left to say
These dreams become nightmares that weep
into the joy that poisons my sleep
These hectic tears
Revisit my fears
Within each and every love
Throughout the multitude of years
When will come the night
That awakens this fright
To true love
and a subconscience's respite
