A Subject To Mull Over While Your Elderly Wife Pops To Tesco’s For The Daily Mail

Anarchy means “without leaders”, not “without order”.
-‘V’, V for Vendetta

Education for the masses -
That’s a half-achievable dream,
But “not just for the ruling classes”?
How’s that for a rhyming scheme?
A gaggle of upper-crust lads and lasses
Who speak plain English to some degree,
all Tims and Stephens, Eves and Cassies;
why should we admire their brazen esprit?
By donning scarves and giant glasses
Among mime artists flailing in the rain,
they stand and glare so no-one passes
while their loan money gurgles down the drain.
Lecturers stand in empty classes,
Though I guess when all’s said and done
The only “man” the student harasses
Is the lone policeman without his gun.
