A Summer Evening Poem by Pradip Saikia

A Summer Evening

Under the white rains
A summer evening

Through a bundle of blue darkness
A fresh yellow woman

A cold firefly on the chest

Water
On the head
On the navel
On the dimoru leaf

Through the woman
Berry black
Fish coloured
Water

Someone called out loudly
For someone
At the face of the broken dyke

From
Under
The white rain

Nice to feel birds and animals performing for the poet on a summer's night.
