A Sure End Poem by Okafor Chinonso

A Sure End

Rating: 5.0

Oh death! why have such influence over humanity
You prove thyself a non-respecter of man
You make the wealthy and powerful know that all is vanity
And to stop thy arrival no man can

For fear of you men go under shelter
Hoping that your presence brings no harm
But their lives you had to shatter
To prove your arrival wasn't so calm

Though you're the end of the seed
Why make children fatherless
Why send to sleep those we need
Why make lives hopeless

Not minding, we know for every life you take you have reason
For God allows everything in it's season
