In crowded rooms, our eyes steal glances,
a feeling ignites, yet words remain forbidden.
I catch your lingering gaze, a fleeting touch-
can you hear my heart skip beyond the noise?
each glance, a spark of hopeful fireworks,
but loyalty haunts you, a ghost of the past,
trapped in memories that cage us tight
Each look, a question, a longing plea,
I feel you so close, just out of reach,
with every glance, our hearts beg for something true, something free, something easy.
my sorrys echo, but you can't hear them,
held hostage by a past we can't escape
In between us, we linger on the edge of what could be
if I were not me,
if you were not you
