A Teardrop (Octavian Goga) Poem by Paul Abucean

A Teardrop (Octavian Goga)

Rating: 5.0

If you should one day part with assets
And say to property goodbye,
Pray save for me a single teardrop
Beneath the corner of your eye.

Your deeper, transcendental spirit
Would then arise and shine on me,
For pearls are known to take their glowing
Out of the darkness of the sea.

What a wonderful poem! Let me quote, 'If you should one day part with assets And say to property goodbye, Pray save for me a single teardrop Beneath the corner of your eye.'
