A Teenager's Freedom Poem by Thanyarat Komolsingsakul

A Teenager's Freedom

Freedom is just a word,
A thing which is only heard.
When Freedom is everything,
Ah, then I’ll have wings.
But don’t you know it’s far?
Don’t you know there’re bars?

Freedom comes only to those,
Who wholeheartedly propose.
And it stays so short,
All I could do is snort.
So why fancy this rot?
When it reaches not! ! !

(composed some time in 1981, after graduating from high school)
