A Thicker Blanket Poem by RIC BASTASA

A Thicker Blanket

freud says
the real problem lies in bed

we sleep together
without touching each other

when i face north you
face south

the window is open
and the moon is full

the warmth of the moon
is not enough for me

and this time i bought
a thicker blanket

to protect me from the cold
two or three-fold.
