A Thin Veil Of Unawareness Is The Distance Between Love Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

A Thin Veil Of Unawareness Is The Distance Between Love

Separated by a gigantic piece of unawareness
I could only feel her presence
Entangled in my thoughts
She was a whisper of fresh air
Passing through my whole being
She was a buried treasure
Unspoiled by my lascivious eyes
She was a moment of pure pleasure
A fantasy for the mind, body and spirit
To devour inside the privacy of the self
She was my dream
Portrayed inside my unrealistic studio of thoughts
She was the voice of love
Filling me with ecstasy
She was mine and I was hers
Our union was real
And my sanity was precariously balanced
Outside the protruded peak of my reality
I was lovesick
And my sickness was spewing out my sanity
Unbeknownst to me, she was also thinking of me
I was her bubble of fantasy
Holding her hostage
Inside the thin veil of unawareness
In her dreams, I was her story
And she was total naked inside my heart beat
Her reckless mind
Touched my recklessness
And our minds were intertwined
Inside the thin veil of unawareness
Our stories were caught
In the web of a mysterious spell
And we were helplessly in love
Inside our little cocoons
A vast ocean of unawareness separated us
Yet in our minds, we were intertwined
Totally in love
