A Thought Poem by Rishik DuttaGupta

A Thought

In my thoughts I'm lost
Like a child in mother's arm,
Lonely, safe and free.

In the fragment of thoughts
I see you,
Constructing the lyrics of my poesy.

I can't recall the word,
Or is it a phrase?
Is it a lullaby, or
Is it a maze?

My shallow thoughts are roaming
From Joyce to Neruda,
Lovers from distant land,
Even Tagore and Taslima
Giving me a helping hand
To find!

Rendezvous! The rush of blood
The nectar of your kiss,
The aroma of your skin,
The radiance of that yellow saree
The psychometric lingerie.

Alas! the word for my feeling,
Freedom from my warm thoughts.
It's love! Love! Love!

Lovely poem! Written so well. Capturing the essence of our thoughts is what poetry is all about. Welcome to the site!
