A Thought For A Sandwich Poem by Thomas Mix

A Thought For A Sandwich

Pull your dreams out of your pocket
Put them on the coffee table
Next to your pack of cigs, and half finished beer.
Make sure you feed the dog, yourself, and your lasting hope.
The water starts to run warm
You wash your hands, then your face
While you are at it, how about all of your mistakes from the nights before.
Walk out the door
Trade your keys and cigs for your board and iPod
They are more fun anyways.
