A Thousand Miles Away Poem by Cory The Alchemist

A Thousand Miles Away

Her voice swirls
Around my head
Burrowing into my soul
Like angelic choruses
Her eyes
I get lost in
Will she let me
Stay forever?
The chocolaty ring
Dive in to a pool of
Smoldering embers
Consumed by warmth
From her soul
The warm blaze
Of her beauty
Cast my gaze
Upon her
No less than
An angel
She makes my
Heartbeats short
My breaths
Shudder
My skin
Electrified
Yet I cannot
Touch this
Slice of heaven
She is but a
Mirage on the
Horizons of my dreams
If our paths
Do cross
One day
I would hold
Her tenderly
Our lips would
Need no introduction
Longingly I would
Kiss her softly
Passionately
My lips would
Run across her
Silky skin
I would not
Stop until I
Had kissed every
Inch of her
Gorgeous body
My hands exploring
The contours of
This beauty
I did not know
Could exist
I would love
Her unconditionally
I would be
A constant voice
Whispering
'I'm here'
She should
Never feel endangered
For nothing would hurt
Her as long
As 'I'm here'
For the wounds
She already has
I will heal them
She will feel no pain
With me beside her
I would treat her
As the princess
She is and
I would be her
Undeserving prince
She is a prize in
My dreams
For now
But one day
I will meet
The girl that stole my heart
From a thousand miles
Away.
