A Thousand Months Poem by Gail Evans

A Thousand Months

A thousand months is all we are owed
If we only knew that before we got old
Perhaps we would even try to break the mould
Instead of forever being in tomorrow's mode
You got that and we should not be too sad
For lots of others don't even get that
I penned this rhyme just for you
Lots of love we all send to you

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I came across a quotation based on the title and thought it apt as that is what my mother had, almost exactly. So it is dedicated to her.
