Last Day Poem by Gail Evans

Last Day

I didn't know this day was your last

You were so strong - looking to the past, I never guessed this

hour would be your last

And all around seemed oblivious to that, so were you too and

I'm so glad about that

But your strength had gone and the end came quick,

I'm grateful to say

and I hope we will meet again some day
