A Thousand Years Poem by King Crow

A Thousand Years

When our love sprouted that late September
It was a surprise to us both, can you remember
Growing and growing and getting stronger
Times that we talked getting longer and longer
Twisting together and then becoming one
Laughter was our rain and poetry our sun
Like a sapling changing, day after day
We were putting down roots in a loving way
Reaching our branches up, caressing the stars
The night belonged to us, it was just ours
Now our love spreads out far and wide, mature
We'll love a thousand years, of this I am sure
