A Time For Change Poem by Edwina Reizer

Change, change is what we all need.
We cannot remain in limbo.
The change we must make begins as a seed,
Bursts forth and then lets go.

Of all the things that are taking us down
Into a ring of fear,
The worst is our refusal to acknowledge that
The time is finally here.

The change we need must begin in the heart
And our feelings towards each other.
For it’s in the heart that change can come about
And bring about another

Type of individual that we must all strive to be,
Regardless of who’ve we’ve become.
Who of us can say we have no biases or revenge
Against anything or anyone?

In order for change to happen we must
Abolish our judgmental minds.
For the time has come where if we want to exist
We must meet all kinds.

And talk about how we need to change
And bring back morality.
If enough of our brothers will do this
Then eventually we’ll see change.

Here in our country, The USA
We elected a man
To make a change in the political scene
And we pray he can.

He will need prayers on every day
To change the inequity.
For the color of his skin is not what’s important.
It’s his integrity.





For without integrity there will be no change
And we will wither away.
And foremost what we must never forget
Is God will help us on every single day.
