A To B Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

A To B

A to B

After his attending classes in hot day
-he reached home, encountered
-the light on in bedroom, late at night
-and his child…very young
-was busy playing…

He approached slowly, cautiously
-walked very carefully; sneaking
-and smiled,
-son played with papers
-folded them, made plane and threw in the air
-and whispered …
-simple words,
-serious, deep contents
-very much up to date
-it covered relations
-Canada-USA's

Father was member of Avro Team
-had mentioned lot of things
-of start and growth
-to the end and bombing
-of plane-factory
-of "Black Friday! "

Like many of colleagues
-damned the Diefenbaker
- (The Prime Minister)
-he believed:
- "He sold us to US! "

"Our neighbour to the south…"
-he spoke with his wife:
- "…has surfaced as iceberg…
-…then it was the Avro…
-…now it is Bombardier…
-…these bastards smile and pretend…
-…to be our siblings…but in fact, they choke us…
-…they want us to be but only as their backyard! ! ! "

Parents talked as did child: "Must boycott the Boeing."
