A Traveller's Tale Poem by Meng Lim Dr

A Traveller's Tale

A Traveller's Tale

By all means

join me in the walk

let silence rule

none should talk-

rain or sunshine

snow or blitz

even when our soles

have witnessed their ugly splits-

don't look at me

nor dare a word utter

I didn't ask you to join me

you did readily volunteer-

a thousand miles we've travelled

now is the cruelest winter

share this last loaf of mine

let my blanket give us both even cover
