I had a love, so long ago,
A love so very fine.
A love that I treasured so,
And she was only mine.
Bright as a summer morn,
One day she came to me.
While I was desperate and forlorn,
She came and set me free.
And just like that, one winter day,
I woke, and she was gone.
But I knew deep down she couldn't stay,
Because heaven was her home.
