A value of a thing is not much known
Unless it is lost and is no more what you own,
In this materialistic world we own nothing,
But the life we live should be of something
Worthy to leave behind something of our own
Before getting to experience the unknown.

An excellent philosophical piece of poetry. You have rightly pointed out that we don't the meaning of a thing unless it is lost otherwise, it is taken for granted. Taking a cue from what has been said we should strive to make our lives worthwhile. Any moment could be the last one. Thanks.
