A Voice Poem by MONCIANA EDMONDSON

A Voice

We are all born free
Life gave us no gurantee
Only breath and Pain
Loss while we constantly try to gain
But we choose; sit there and cry
Or go through life's motions, at least try.

So naive
How do We believe?
Faith without seeing
Hope without knowing?
Giving Love; with none in return
For that perfect companion we all yearn.

But in this world where the strong dominate the weak
Even if the future looks bleak
You have only your small voice
How one lives is always a choice.
