A voice within calls: 'Be self-aware! '
But I always refuse, always disagree.
Still, by day's end I realize
I must awaken to my authentic truth,
For I can only know myself as I am,
Not as some other whom I cannot see,
For there is only one single reality, absolutely.
And still, I ask: Who, truly, am I?
Am I a thread in the tapestry?
A note in the song of existence?
Perhaps I cannot answer such baffling questions
Until I witness my light, radiant and pure,
The very light that reflects my truth.
So yes, I suppose I am self-aware—
Not through self alone,
But through the divine manifestations that surround me.
I am aware because the sun,
The stars, and the moon gaze upon me,
Laughing at my illusions,
As they giggle before my eyes and behind my back
While I forget my covenant of Alast.
But even with this poem, nothing will change.
Though these words may not alter fate,
They will sow seeds of light in hearts—
Perhaps even mine one day.
And next time I step out, I'll find myself
In nature's beauty—not through effort,
But through the divine essence surrounding me.
