A Walk Along Malik Ville Poem by Maureen Alikor

A Walk Along Malik Ville

This is me
taking a stroll
along malik ville
seeing petals
of words
littered all over
like carpet grasses
and blooming lilies.

I see promises;
as human trot
around the streets
in holy union.

I see harmony
clad in brief skirts
and tank tops,
I see unity
dressed shabbily
you can see her waist line
wrapped around
beads of honesty.

I see love on
two legs
walking towards me
at every junction
tossing waves
and beaming smiles.

At malik ville
doors made of words
flung open and shut
as the wind of tomorrow
blow across rooms
plaited in crystal pebbles.

Along the donish kingdom,
I see tiny foots
of truth scamper
around like little
boys taking their first
infant steps.

Taking this stroll,
I see all-
I see Al,
I see it all
neatly adorned
in forever folds.
