A Walk In The Night Poem by Monica M Engeler

A Walk In The Night

Another day was ending in the skies
You see, the evening colors controlled the hour,
Blue, yellow, orange, red.
How beautiful the world looked about.

I grabbed my jacket and took a walk,
My iPhone was ready to capture the night.
Beautiful, how the sun and moon shined together,
The stars sparkled behind the scenes.

There was no more traffic now,
So running on the street was care free.
I love dreaming about the future worlds.
Maybe there domains don't face fear.

Time never wait's for you,
Dreaming ends when your eyes open,
I don't want to realize time for now,
Come on, no one waits for me.

I walked for miles it seemed like nothing
The street light lit my way,
I took a few night scene shots
You know, like the moon and stars.

They are my future voyages,
Those stars sparkled telling a story of endless time.
Just like people they are getting older
But time waits for no one.

Well I am back in front of my door.
It is time to say Good Night.
Maybe this vision will return.
But the starts are closing my story.
