A Walk To Remember Poem by Pamuditha Zen Anjana

A Walk To Remember

As I walked on
Waiting for the best to happen
Whilst my heart was searching
I found the light

From a place I least expected
I called it, the place,
'My own heaven'

And suddenly like lightning
As I walked passing the heaven
I found the dark
Lurking in the shadows

More interesting and worthwhile
And saw it as it was
Embracing the worst
I crawled into my bed with it

Calling it, the bed,
'My own sanctuary'
From the blinding light
