Time can be short
It can stand still
Time can be long
Like the moments until
I can touch your face
And feel your embrace
Holding you in my arms
Feeling safe and warm

Time is of the essence
Will it be on our side?
Time waits for no one
So I won’t be denied
I can’t be separated
From your love
Or your laughter
Not in this life
Or in the hereafter

Time can be a friend
And it can be a foe
All the time in the world
Won’t change what I know
That I love you more
Than life itself
I love you lady
And no one else

I’ll be with you again….in time!
