We are having a wet and gloomy day
Sky with tiny light streaks
It is trying to be otherwise
I think springtime is what it seeks.

It is not far from here though
That around that corner we'll turn
Heading soon for a New Year
Wow, how our world has churned.

For 2020 is one to always remember
Folks were at odds with their brother
Didn't take much to say the wrong thing
You didn't even say much to your mother.

But, nothing lasts forever, you know
It will be fine, my friend, I must say
This too will pass like all the others
But an occasional wet and gloomy day!
