A Will To Survive Poem by Aeraaf Khuraishi

I never had thought,
To stay alive this long,
I'd thought...
I'd have been long gone,
But you helped me stay strong.
You took the frown,
You led my way through,
of all the hurdles puddles and misfortunes.
Please throw me out of this crowd.

A will to last forever
and to make a new path of life.
With the jets gone,
There is only pain and vain
Something tough to spare.
The wild and ferocious past of mine,
I had no way to continue and grow.
I had to force myself to get out of that
and just had to make them fade away,
to get the strength back again.
