A Womans Life Poem by sirala supraja

A Womans Life

Rating: 5.0

she was not cared in the olden age
and was locked up in the kitchens cage
she was not allowed to talk to anyone
nor she enjoyed the light of the sun
age of fifteen made her enter a married life
and she became a responsible wife
her husband passed away, she became dim
when she had to be burnt along with him
is it right? is it good?
to play with her livelyhood!
she was a prisoner as a wife
is this the meaning of her life?
great people then understood
what is a womans livelyhood
she was then given freedom
and was allowed to join the earthly kingdom
she claimed for her own right
and is now making her future glow bright!
