A Wondrous Creation Poem by Tess Rockenstire

A Wondrous Creation

I am greeted as I stepped out my doorstep.
A wondrous creation! It’s summer.
Oh! Such a vast expanse painted by a creator.
Rolling hills, mountains, and evergreen
Including the wild animals that grease in the meadow.

He array the mountains in such a way
That makes me breathless! In awe of what I see.
Oceans, rivers, and valleys they linger,
They speak love, play and laugh with you.
The thin air in the summit suffocates me.

In autumn the mountains is crimson red,
Orange and yellow gold like that of a sunset.
What an honor to see a spectacular view.
How wonderful, how awesome to play,
Enjoying the creator’s wonderland.

In winter the earth is covered with snow.
Like the creator’s promise to keep -
Our soul as white as snow, to cleanse us for eternity.
Remember the snow, it’s there for you and me.
So let’s sing in jubilation, we are wild and free.

The spring rain comes to bathe the earth.
Like a soaking for our souls.
A reminder that it’s time for a renewal,
It’s another day of rebirth.
Like the birds that sing in their nest,
So as we are happy to be alive, and refreshed.
