A World Left To Hope Poem by Megan Russell

A World Left To Hope

The sun and moon face each other,
the world between them.
The stars dance at this unusual sight.
The planets all align at this great spectical.
In a spontanious fit the sun and moon colide nearly missing the earth, and yanking it off its axis.
Leaving displayed an explosion of color and elements expanding in rings that can out stretch the neighboring galaxies.
The stars are surprised at this scene never before witnessed,
the aftermath leaves an everlasting stain on the universe.
The orbit thats been set is destroyed leaving the tiny planet defenseless and still.
What can be done?
Who/what will set life in motion again?
All the planets, stars and galaxies watch and wait.
And then all of a sudden the earth starts to move again but not in it's usual manner.
It turns itself upside down making life change,
north becomes south and south becomes north.
And it begins its first rotation counter clockwise.
It starts a new way of life,
and survives.
