Abandon - Poem by Andrew Wucherer

Waking to a living nightmare
Sweat pouring from the soul
Realizing this life is going nowhere
Minds numb from a world so cold
Disposition of a misconcepted reality
Swept away by the followers of the blind
Time consumes our life to the tee
Drawing ever so menacingly to the finish line
The forsaken plead for sanctuary
Hearts full of sadness combust
The mindless mindful live life like a diary
Keeping attached to worthless which inevitably turns to dust
Ties held sacred shall be put to quake
Lives held dear are stolen
Minds now stable will break
Then we will ultimately know the definition of tribulation
