Abandoned By Her Master Poem by James T. Karam

Abandoned By Her Master

ABANDONED BY HER MASTER
She barked at me from time to time
I guess just to pass her time
This sad and lonely K-nine

She would jump over the wall
Some times she would fall
Just to see me most of all

I noticed one day in fall
The neighbor house
No cars nor lamp aglow

I heard her whimpering
in her trouble sleep
In the middle of the night

Four days gone past
I seen this lonely K- nine
Wandering about

Frightened creature
She crawl and creep
Wandering thirsty and hungry

With food in hand
I gave her so
She eat to her full

Burning hot tears a flow
Abandoned by her master
She laid there wondering why
