i know what you are
because of what i am.
when people ask me
i tell them what they want to hear.
you know me for what i am
because of what you are.
when people ask you who i am
you tell them what i am not.
we are into this predicament
of self-denial
it is not that we want to take
ourselves from shame
we are not afraid
how can we be fear itself?
i remember fully well
i told her that you are a wall
and she believes me.
i can see through you
through me.
and what i see need not be spoken
or the Sphinx shall be broken.
