Abridged Poem by Jaya G Nair

Abridged

You wish me to write about
Days aflame
Spirits abloom
Hearts ardent
Thoughts astute?

The scene outside is grey and dull
Not alive
Nor agile
Not awash
Or alpine too.

Why not take a look inside?
Count the pulse that stays aloft
Sense the grit that keeps afloat
See the fear that soon abates
Discern the magic that allures
Feel the joy that does abide

My words are in your soul -
abridged.
