Absent Presence Poem by Jayne Doe

Absent Presence

Rating: 4.5

Clear my cluttered mind
With some of your time
Until you have to go
And that's when I'll know
That although I asked for change
You simple rearranged
All that which still remains
And now I'm stuck
With all that stuff
In places I don't recognize
While I wish you
A sweet goodbye
As if I'd welcome you again
But I know that it's pretend
Cuz nothing's different when you go
Next time I'll do it on my own
